UNHS AUDIO is a program created by freelance journalist and producer Chris Robinson for students at University Neighborhood High School in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. This website was created to document the endeavors of students taking part in the program, and function as a resource for other after-school programs funded by Advantage and run by Grand Street Settlement (see other pages).
The program teaches students the basics in audio production, recording and editing skills, story telling, narrative and documentary development. Students are also encouraged to learn how to use the website, upload their projects, write summaries and blog posts, and gain a familiarity with basic web publishing skills.
